John Piper
The founder John Piper was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Bill and Ruth Piper January 11, 1946. In 1980, sensing an irresistible call of the Lord to preach, John became the senior pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he ministered for almost 33 years. What started with tapes and John’s books, Desiring God has blossomed into an international web ministry with 12,000+ free resources and 3.5+million monthly users. Today, John serves as lead teacher for the ministry.
David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was called to New York City in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in his best-selling book The Cross and the Switchblade. He went on to create Teen Challenge and World Challenge, Inc. to minister to people’s spiritual and physical needs. In 1987, he established Times Square Church. As its founding pastor, he faithfully led that congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God. David Wilkerson also had a strong burden to encourage his fellow pastors. He founded the Summit International School of Ministry; and from 1999 to 2008, he held international conferences to strengthen church leaders. His passion to support believers, build up leaders and care for the poor is still at the heart of World Challenge’s ministries to this day.

Follow C.S. Lewis
Clive Staples Lewis (1898–1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954, when he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement.
I think it is interesting to note that when Lewis was attending the preparatory school “Cherbourg House”, he abandoned Christianity and became an atheist. Later, as is well known, he was again converted to Christianity and his interests gravitated towards Christian theology.
Lewis wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. C. S. Lewis’s most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics in The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and have been transformed into three major motion pictures.

The Gospel of Christ (TGOC) program is an ongoing evangelistic effort overseen by the elders of the Red Hill Church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. This work consists of faithful Christians who join their talents and efforts together In seeking and saving the lost (including personal evangelism, TV, Radio, Internet, FREE media, Bible Class Curricula, etc.). The primary purpose and goal of TGOC is to take the whole Gospel to the whole world in our generation while at the same time putting a special emphasis on strengthening the Lord’s church in the United States (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 20:20; 14:21-22; Col. 1:23).
